Evidence Based Practice

We use the modern technologies and enduring knowledges to get the best results for our clients.

We draw on evidence based sources of theory and practice including Australian Psychological Societies (APS) Journals and online resources for APS member practitioners including a huge database of international journals, The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) journals, and the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) Journal and seminars.

We aim to help, heal and assist in the most ethical ways possible.

We use what works best for each of our clients to get the best results possible for all our clients.

This means the strategies we employ need to fit with the particular clients' individual needs and wishes.

Our duty of care is primarily to meet the client's specific requirements in the safest, most efficacious and ethical manner possible.

Not everyone needs or wants a particular method, so we endeavor to be as eclectic as possible whilst maintaining standards of excellence with regards to evidence, ethics and outcome.

We use safe and proven methods.

AHPRA Newsletter from the Chair: of the Psychology Board, Issue 19 – March 2017, encourages us to be mindful of the following guidelines/principles of professional practice, namely;

1 The importance of ‘Truth in Advertising’

2 An admonition “… to not make statements about your practices or approach that may be misleading or create false impressions about what you can do, or overstate the likely outcomes”

3 The importance of empirical evidence in “all we do” where we should respect the careful evaluation of processes and outcomes, and importantly, “It is important not to create an unreasonable expectation of benefit”.
